Cork flooring

Combining the latest technology with natural properties, cork flooring is a cost effective, easy to maintain flooring solution that combines durability and sustainability, with good thermal comfort, and since cork doesn’t absorb dust, it is perfect for allergy suffers. We are a supplier of Amorim Wicanders cork flooring.

Cork products

The natural thermal properties inherent in cork mean it is a warm and soft material to touch, while its natural honeycomb structure and memory makes it resistant to impact or friction. This means cork material is not only soft and comfortable, but on impact, will bounce back and maintain its form. Cork is also a very light material – over 50% is air, and weighs just 0.16 grams per cubic centimetre. As for durability, cork is made of small impermeable moisture-resistant compartments formed of suberin and ceroids. So unlike solid timber, cork can be rinsed in clean water that will simply run off due to the materials impermeability, enabling cork to age without deteriorating. Viroc Cement Bonded Particle Board

Viroc is a composite material of compressed and dry pine wood particles and cement. Combining the flexibility and durability of wood with the strength of cement, Viroc is a great material for your home or commercial project, encompassing a wide range of internal and external applications, from ceiling, walls and facades, to flooring, and joinery.

Hydraulic cement tiles

It was the Cistercian monks of the 12th Century who first established the art of making the hydraulic cement tiles by pouring coloured pigments mixed with marble dust into a steel mould placed on a cement base – the marble dust acts as a bonding agent and gives the tiles the lovely patina. The tile is then compressed with a heavy press, before being lifted and placed on a rack to dry and bake under the blazing heat of the hot Alentejo sun! The tiles are suitable for external and internal applications.
